Mitesh Karwat could very possibly go down in the Guinness Book of World Records for the guy who’s eaten the most number of Vada Pav. This is his story. Many years back, Mitesh had to travel a lot in Gujarat. Being on the road a lot, his life depended on street food vendors mostly. Out of everything that he snacked on, what he was particularly fond of, was Vada Pav, Missal Pav and Idlis. He probably tried hundreds of Vada Pav in the quest to find that one vendor who sold the perfect theeka garlicky Vada Pav. He never found it, nor did he find authentic Idli Chutney.
In May 2015, he decided that nobody else should suffer the same fate as his. Nobody should be deprived of authentic Indian snacks. And so, with his two brothers Kaushik and Jayesh, was born Majja – a store that was Indian, authentic, hygienic and pocket friendly.
Majja is for young students, office goers, anyone who’s on the road and wants to get a quick bite of a burst
of authentic Indian flavours. Today the brand sells authentic Mumbai Style Vada Pav, Idli, Missal Pav, Vada Ussal and Rajwaadi Chaas amongst more street food snacks.
